10 biomimetic projects were presented the 15th of April at a public hearing arranged by The City of Stockholm’s Foundation for Innovative Culture.
Around 20 representatives from the City of Stockholm, Swedish EPA and industry, as well as other stakeholders attended the presentation. Before the end of May the City of Stockholm will decide which ones of the 10 biomimetic projects that will be given grants. The aim is to give initial support for projects that address the field from an aesthetic point of view, i.e. design, architecture, art, philosophy, etc. Results from the chosen biomimetic projects will be presented at the Bioinspired Forum 2010, which Biomime will co-host, in the beginning of November.
