Panel Debate about the Material Gap during Stockholm Design Week
The conversation was about how the producers and designers can work in a sustainable way with new materials. Researchers are developing materials but they seldom, or never reach out, into production. How can we bridge this gap? The panel debate “The Material Gap” was held during the Stockholm Design Week, on February 10 at Berns Salonger. Italian furniture producer Giulio Cappellini participaded together with Mark Willers, Sveriges Designer; Anna Maria Orru, architect; Mikael Lindström, researcher Innventia/Konstfack; Erik Bresky, Textilhögskolan Borås, and Björn Florin, Materialbiblioteket.The Material Gap was a collaboration between Svensk Form, Antonia Ax:son Johnson´s Stiftelse för Miljö och Utveckling and the Bioinspired Forum.
